Medpods Medical Centre Maroochydore Is A Mixed Billing Practice
The following groups of patients will access bulk billed consultations:
- Children 15 yrs and under
- Patients over 75
- DVA card holders
All other patients or appointment types will incur a consultation fee as follows::
- Standard consultation: $69.75 – Out of pocket $30
- Long consultation: $140 – Out of pocket $63.05

Dr John Renju

Dr Renju has worked as a General Practitioner based in practices in Cambridgeshire, Essex and Suffolk within the United Kingdom.
He has all-round clinical experience spanning medical and surgical areas and believes in a primary care model providing long-term continuity of care.
He was selected to be a finalist in the General Practice Awards in the United Kingdom in November 2011.
Dr Renju is particularly interested in musculoskeletal medicine and was the Crowd Doctor covering Beach Volleyball in the London 2012 Olympics.
His experience in the NHS in primary care lends itself to a standardised guideline-based treatment of established conditions and a focus on lifestyle modifications in managing disease prevention.
Dr Barry O’Donovan

Dr O’Donovan graduated from the National University of Ireland in 1991. He worked in South Australia at Flinders University SA and Curtin University developing undergraduate education and training.
Being a mature doctor, his passion is caring for everyone, especially the young and elderly, which keeps him on his toes.
His particular interests are men’s health, occupational health and stress management, procedural work including minor skin surgery, iron infusions, insertion and removal of contraceptive implants, and chronic disease management.
Dr O’Donovan has a growing passion for GP education and training.
Interests outside work include being an all-rounder in sports, politics, and travelling.
Please note that Dr O’Donovan provides bulk billing for concession card holders.
Dr Christian Blank

Dr Christian Blank trained as a Specialist in Internal Medicine in Germany and moved to Australia in 2003 to work for the Royal Flying Doctors.
After falling in love with the bush, he worked as a rural generalist in Queensland.
Beyond his most recent role providing ongoing support for rural hospitals, Dr Blank has worked as a Medical Superintendent at Chinchilla Hospital, a Senior Medical Officer at Cherbourg and Murgon Hospitals, and a Generalist in Emergency Medicine at Bundaberg Hospital.
Dr Blank’s interests include chronic disease management, internal medicine, medication interactions, infectious diseases and travel medicine.
In addition to English and German, he speaks French and some Spanish.
